For the fourth consecutive year, the district has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education and achievement in its efforts to provide music access and education for all students.

A nonprofit organization supported, in part, by the National Association of Music Merchants, the NAMM Foundation‘s goal is to advance participation in music. To receive this prestigious designation, Locust Valley’s music education department was analyzed for funding, staffing of qualified music teachers, commitment to standards and access to music instruction.

The district congratulates the efforts of the administration, faculty and students for achieving this outstanding accomplishment and thanks the board of education and the community for their ongoing support of music and fine arts.
