Fifth graders from Bayville and Locust Valley intermediate schools recently traveled to Locust Valley Middle School for sixth grade orientation. The goal was to get the incoming sixth graders acclimated to their new school before the fall.

The students gathered in the mini-theater where middle school student leaders addressed the group and answered their frequently asked questions. The fifth graders then took a brief tour of the school with the students and participated in a fun activity outside where they were able to meet their pen pal from the other side of town. The orientation program was a great way for the incoming sixth graders to connect with others and get a glimpse of what the new school year will look like.

She continued her leadership during the summer months, serving as the coordinator of the summer academic program for grades K-8 at Ann MacArthur Primary School.

Ms. Reilly has championed through the COVID-19 pandemic in her administrative roles. Among her many other responsibilities as acting assistant principal, she maintained weekly scheduling and screening of the COVID-19 student survey and oversaw contract tracing.
