On behalf of the staff at Locust Valley High School, we would like to invite you to attend our annual Back to School Open House on Tuesday, September 17th. You will have the opportunity to meet our staff and also to familiarize yourself with the curriculum goals and standards for courses. The program will start at 6:00PM.
Please ask your child to complete the schedule below for you with the names of teachers and rooms for an “A” day schedule (or print a schedule from the portal) and bring the schedule with you. During any unassigned and/or study hall or lunch periods, parents are encouraged to visit with physical education classes in the gymnasium or stop into the library, cafeteria, or courtyards.
Preceding the Back to School Open House on the same evening, we will also be holding our annual Grade 9 Parent Evening at 5:30pm in the auditorium. The Grade 9 Parent Evening will begin with a greeting and provide an opportunity for you to meet additional staff and participate in discussion about the high school experience at LVHS.
During the evening all of our participating parents attend shortened classes identified on the students’ schedules. Each year Back to School Open House is a well-attended event; please arrive early to manage parking arrangements.
Our High School Parents’ Council and SEPTA organizations are always invited to be present with us to enlist parental support and to distribute information about their efforts throughout the year. We appreciate our positive partnership with all parents.
